Quick Start Guide

Please refer to the guide below to help you to setup AuctionX2. If you have any further problems using AuctionX2 please contact us using the support page on this site.

  • After downloading AuctionX2 you will need to run setup to install the software onto your PC.

  • Follow the install instructions.

  • Once installed run AuctionX2 from the desktop icon.

  • Next you need to configure AuctionX2. Double click on 'Options' in AuctionX2. A dialog will open; select your currency and eBay locale then press Apply.

  • You are now ready to download your eBay sales. Double click on the Link To Download Monthly eBay Invoices in AuctionX2. This will take you to a page in eBay. Select an invoice from the drop down list and press the Go button. On the next page click on the link called 'download' at the top right of the screen. Now choose the CSV format and click on the Download button. Please note where you save the file(s) to.

  • You are now ready to import your eBay sales data. Double click on the Import eBay Sales Invoice CSV in AuctionX2. This will allow you to browse to the CSV file you just downloaded and import your sales.

  • Remember to set your month, year and search criteria in AuctionX2 at the bottom of the main window to correspond to the sales data you have imported and want to report on.

  • You are now ready to download your PayPal data. This will import your paypal costs and postage charges. Double click on the Link To Download PayPal Payments option in AuctionX2. This will take you to a page in PayPal. On the PayPal page click on the 'more' link to the right and choose 'Comma Delimited - Completed Payments' from the list. A dialog appears, press the Download button. When the file is ready then click on the 'Recently Downloaded Logs' link to download your PayPal CSV file. It can take PayPal a few minutes to generate the requested file but they will email you once it is ready. Please ensure you download your invoices as CSV and note where you save the file(s) to.

  • You are now ready to import your PayPal data. Double click on the Import PayPal Payments CSV File in AuctionX2. This will allow you to browse to the CSV file you just downloaded and import your PayPal payments into AuctionX2.

  • You are now ready to report on your sales.

  • Remember you can enter search criteria in AuctionX2 to filter your reports for example if you only want to see reports based on your CDROM Sales in 2009 then set the month to 'All', the year to '2009', type CDROM into the search box and press return this will run the search and when you launch any of the reports in AuctionX2 they will report only on CDROM sales in 2009.
